Missionaries
Monday is prep day. There were two missionaries in the office writing home. One of them told us he never knows what to write. He has nothing to say. We were giving him all kinds of suggestions. I told him to write that he just got a new blender so now he can have his favorite breakfast every morning: a shake made with protein powder, two eggs, and a banana. (I know about the blender because I gave him mine) He says, "No one wants to hear that!" We all said yes, your mom wants to know what your every day life is like. Then we told him to write about his new slip on shoes. He took the stretchy bands from some of his gifts and put them in his shoes so he'd have slip on shoes. He was so proud! We told him to take a picture and write about it. So he did. But he was so embarrassed. He kept saying this is dumb. No one wants to hear this. Finally he said, "OK, I'm pushing send and I'm not looking back!" He's so cute and by the way, he's number 13 of 14 children, all from the same mom and dad.
Church
I think I gave the wrong impression that our assignment might change. Not so. We will be office missionaries for our whole mission. When I said there were secrets, I just meant I couldn't reveal what president is doing at transfers. His plans happened to coincide with ours and we figured it was inspiration. We will start going to church in the same ward every week now, so we'll also be part of a ward. We've had fun traveling around the mission, but it's time to choose a ward and start contributing. The Anderson ward is very small but the people are amazing. We told the Bishop we were going to start coming to his ward regularly and he immediately asked us to talk in February. Busted!
Mission Chaeuffers
Wednesday evening we picked up a new missionary at the airport. He's been learning Marshallese at the MTC. And he actually IS Marshallese. He's adopted from the Marshall Islands. He's really excited about his assignment here and the opportunity to learn the language.

Farewell and God bless you all! |
We pray a lot here. Everybody does. I know that sounds funny but it's true. And it's not a bad thing. It's just normal now. We have a devotional in the office every morning at 9:00 a.m. We take turns sharing a scripture or a spiritual thought and then pray. Sometimes we sing. It's our favorite part of the day. At transfers we pray at every stop. We pray about everything. The missionaries pray a lot. I like to think of them every morning getting ready for the day, praying alone and praying together. It's never too much.
Saturday
Saturday is our prep day. We got our wash done, cleaned the house, and ran errands. We both have a new watch so we are learning all the tricks. It was 60 and SUNNY today so we went for a walk. Our watches are very tricky and happy that we went for a walk.

There's always somewhere pretty to walk here, right around the corner. This isn't today. No need for ear muffs today. |
Hey, I think I remembered everything I had written before. I love it when my memory works! It must be all the praying!
