TRANSFER WEEK
It was transfer week last week.  We were soooo busy all week:   moving missionaries, moving furniture, opening new apartments, ordering furniture, driving back and forth to the airport 4 times (3 times in one day), saying hello to new missionaries, and goodbye to those going home.  So much work and so much emotion.  I don't think I've been this tired since our first month here.  Thankfully we actually got a weekend to recover.  It's been crazy since a week ago Friday.  It's hard to explain, but wow!

We kept asking to borrow the mission truck from the missionaries.  I got so discouraged that at one point I said to Elder Johnson, "I'm going to buy myself a truck today.  But wait, I'd have to ask president for a raise in salary.  I guess I won't buy a truck."  Then I DID ask president for a raise and he said he'd double my salary.  Woot woot! Good thing I didn't buy one cause everything worked out.

So many miracles....just when we'd get discouraged, doors would open and everything would work out.  So many prayers were answered.  God really is in the small things.   He cares if we have a truck when we need one, he cares if missionaries get their furnishings on time, he cares if we can get a new apartment in just 4 days.   I'm learning so much.  I've been praying that a landlord I worked with this week will get a special blessing for being so kind to me and so easy to work with.  I pray that if she is worried about something or needs something, it will happen.  I think God will answer my prayer.

Here's Elder Johnson telling everyone who's getting off, and who's getting on.

Load up!  New missionaries, arrived the night before, getting ready for transfers.  They are so cute and excited and scared!

Angels
Last week in Priesthood meeting, a man shared this story   When he was little, his dad was so mean that sometimes he ran away to get away from him.  He'd run into the woods as far as he could go until he was lost.  He knew if he was lost his dad wouldn't be able to find him.  The next morning an angel always appeared and showed him the way home.  When he heard about an angel appearing to Joseph Smith, it sounded totally normal to him.

We are a work in progress
I'm ashamed to say that this week I laid my head on my desk and said, "I'm so tired of learning how to do things I don't know how to do."

Elder Johnson is practicing talking softer in the office.

Anderson Ward
I got called to play the piano in primary.  I'm pretty excited.  I played last week and there were 9 kids there.  I don't know if that's normal, but I'll find out.  It probably is.  I'm taking a piano light with me this week.  I'm donating it to the church.  The piano is tucked back under an overhang and it's so dark I can't see.

Tech Elders
Our tech Elders were going home so they had to choose new ones before they left.  They devised some kind of a crazy puzzle and whoever solved it got to be the new tech elders.

Rent
Every month, on about the 15th, Elder Johnson and I get together and work on paying the rent for the next month.  We have to look at what empty apartments we have, what new ones we have, which ones to pay rent on, which ones we've closed, which ones have to be paid manually, etc.  It's soooooo much money.  That's just the rent.  Is it worth it?  Is sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ worth it?  Is learning and growing more than you ever thought possible worth it?  That would be a resounding YES!  Is there any limit to the value of the message we have to share?  Not really.  It's Priceless!

Here we are with the mission nurse.  She came to tell the missionaries goodbye.  We're on our way to the airport with missionaries who are going home honorably.

Goodbye sweet friend!  You learn to love quickly on a mission.  Goodbyes are hard!
