It's spring here.  The flowering trees are just gorgeous.  We're having hot days and cool days, but all beautiful days.

We had a couple of really busy days on Monday and Tuesday getting caught up with work we missed last week and getting ready for transfers.  The office made lunch and spoke at 6 week training on Tuesday.

We got 17 new missionaries and guess what, one of them is my sister-in law's (Nancy) sister's grandson.  Welcome Elder Burnham!

I want to post every picture I took of missionaries on transfer day but I won't!  haha  But here's a couple you'll be familiar with.

Transfers were more fun than ever.  We know a lot more of the missionaries now and we actually stayed on time for the first time since we've been here. We love the missionaries so much!  We are so thankful for what they are doing.

Friday morning we took the departing missionaries to the airport.  It was quite the morning.  We drove clear to the airport and then they remembered they left their carry-ons in the back of the mission presidents car.  So his wife had to make a mad dash for the airport.  Then the flight was delayed and there were no seats on a later flight, so they got tickets on another airline. They just couldn't get one Elder a flight home.  But after a little while and a prayer, he got a flight.   It took a long time and in the meantime, Sister Strong arrived with the bags they forgot.  They kept leaving things around the airport.  It was really funny!  I think they were very excited and crazy!

Friday at the office I ordered lots of cleaning supplies and other household items for missionaries who are in a new area.  I also have to get our computer program accurate (Imos) with all of the missionaries assigned to the correct house.  I have to think hard and it's very hard on my brain. I work on all the changes president told me, but sometimes he doesn't tell me everything.  Oddly enough, in some random way I always find out the other things I need to know.  Like maybe someone will post on facebook that they moved.  Or someone comes in the office and tells me.  Revelation comes in all kinds of ways.

Here's a service project some of the sister missionaries did.

Amy asked me why there are apartments that I have to buy furnishings for when there are already missionaries there.  Sometimes we move 4 missionaries in where there used to be only 2.  Then I have to buy furnishings for 2 more missionaries.  Sometimes things wear out or get broken.  Missionaries aren't exactly easy on things.  Also, sometimes I find out they don't have things.  For instance, we just inspected an apartment and one Elder was sleeping on a single mattress on the floor.  I said, "Do you like sleeping on the floor?"  He said "No, I hate it and I can't sleep."  I sat on his mattress and it was a piece of junk.  So we rounded up a frame and box springs and I ordered him a new mattress.  He says he loves it.

Saturday we drove the Anderson Elders to a baptism in Fordland, 2 hour drive there.  We got back around 4:00 and started doing our prep day work:  washing, cleaning, shopping.

I'm so thankful for the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It was a blessing for us to be able to visit some of the church sites last week.  I'm reminded of how much I love Joseph Smith and how much he has taught me.  I'm so thankful for his example of of courage, faith, kindness, and forgiveness.
