I spent Monday finding a new apartment in Springdale IMMEDIATELY.  I spent a good part of the week making arrangements for furnishings and moves, signing up for utilities, etc.  The missionaries are moving in Saturday:  that's a mission miracle.   I have asked one set of Elders to move 3 times in a week.  It's been intense.  I think they are scared to answer their phone when they see it's me calling.  President has so many things going on that he has to keep changing the plan.

One day this week we traded jobs so Elder Johnson could work on a project I got from the president..  We decided it was faster to do that than for me to spend 3 weeks figuring how to do it.  Chris got it done in about 3 hours.  He helps me a lot like that.

Wednesday we went to the airport twice.  One of our best missionaries had to go home for medical reasons.  It was so sad.  It's a good reminder to not judge missionaries that go home early, for any reason.  Especially because most of the time we don't know the reason.

Then that evening we received two new missionaries from the temple square mission.  This causes lots of changes in housing and companionships.  It's just been very hectic.

Several months ago we sent home 4 missionaries for something they did.   It was rough.  I might never forget the look on their faces the day they were in the office to meet with president.  When we took them to the airport they all said they wanted to come back.  One said he couldn't though, because his visa would run out.  I'm so happy to report that all 3 of the others are back in the mission field.  I don't know how it all works but two of them are in different missions.  One of them is coming back into our mission this week.  We are so excited!  He's asked us not to tell the missionaries the details of his arrival because he wants to surprise everyone.  Some missionaries were in the office grilling me about it yesterday but I told them my lips are sealed.  Some of the missionaries saw on the calendar that he was coming during this past week and then it disappeared.  So now they are grilling me.  His plans were changed and he's arriving this coming week.  There's quite a rumor train in the mission so I wonder how many know.  But there's going to be a lot of celebrating, I know that for sure.

Today is Friday.  We didn't go to all of the zone conferences this time.  We had too much work to do with all of the housing changes going on.  We went to lunch at the Springdale zone conference last week because we had to drive there anyway for some housing errands.  This week we went to our own for just half a day.  It was so good and inspiring.  Then we came to the office because we still have a bunch of stuff to do.

All of the furnishings for the new apartment were shipped to the office.  We have some missionaries coming to load them in the trailer tonight and then they'll haul them to Springdale and help the Elders there move from their apartment to their new place.  It's been pretty time consuming to get it all arranged.  Thankfully Springdale is only about a half hour away.

This is my office full of furnishings.  It's just like Christmas!

This is another mission miracle:  I was going to have to miss our zone conference today (Friday) because I had a ton of furnishings being delivered to the office.  They were due to arrive today.  They won't deliver that much stuff into the hallway so I figured I'd have to sit here all day long so they could get delivered.  Miracle!  They all came yesterday so I got to go to Zone Conference.  I left a note on the door to leave packages in front of the door.  Since there were only 3 more coming, I knew it would be ok.

Today is Saturday.  We had a senior missionary party.  All the senior missionaries came from the outer reaches of the mission and we had fun getting to know each other.  It was hard to give up our prep day, but we survived. As soon as we got home, I took a nap.   Now it's evening and we are doing our wash and cleaning.  Being a missionary is very exciting.

For entertainment we had our two specialist sisters do a skit.  They are amazing.  Seriously, how did they think of so many cute things to do?  They've been sequestered in the office for 2 or 3 days planning their songs.   They did a song and a different gig about every kind of senior missionary:  Secretary, Finance, Housing, Cars, Nurse, MLS, CES, Service.   The songs were cute, the music was cute.  Some people really have talent.

One fun thing about being on a mission is that we get told "I love you" lots of times every day:  in notes, on the phone, and in person.  Oh, and this week a former missionary, who is home now, called me and asked me to order him a toaster.  I totally fell for it and then he told me who he was.  Elder Johnson got right on Amazon and ordered him a toaster from us.  We'll show him!  He's getting married in September so they'll enjoy a toaster.

Let's see, oh I got to go to a different kind of doctor this week.  I went to an eye doctor.  I have an eye infection.  Now I feel lots better.  He was the most unfriendly doctor I've ever been too.  All business.  But hey, he gave me a prescription and it's getting better.  We love you all!
